The Jersey International Family Law Conference and Dinner – sponsored by Corbett Le Quesne

We have great pleasure in announcing details of the 2025 conference and dinner.

It is taking place on Friday 3^rd October at Hotel L’Horizon which is situated in the beautiful St Brelade’s Bay, voted as one of the top three beaches in the British Isles according to Trip Advisor.

The theme of the conference this year is non-court dispute resolution. Our keynote speaker is Sir Nicholas Francis who will talk about private FDRs.

There will be sessions in respect of mediation, hybrid mediation, the Certainty Project, arbitration and artificial intelligence. 

Thursday 2^nd October

• An evening drinks reception is being organised at The Yard, Jersey Museum, full information will be given closer to the time. Please indicate on the booking form if you’d like to attend.

Friday 3^rd October

• Registration opens at 9.30am
• We will be organising another Women In Family Law (WiFL) event. This will be held in the Atlantic Room at Hotel L’Horizon between 10am and 11.30am. All are welcome though places are limited so please let me know as soon as possible if you’d like to attend. Beverages and biscuits will be served.
• After the success of the inaugural football match last year (and in the hope that the participants have sufficiently recovered!) there will be rematch on the beach. Full details to follow.
• Following the conference there will be a drinks reception and a three course dinner at the hotel. 

Saturday 4^th October

• We have arranged for you to be whisked away by RIB (rigid inflatable boat) for a trip around the coast of Jersey. Just the thing to blow away the cobwebs!  Fresh sea air and an exhilarating trip will be provided along with an experience that will never be forgotten.  Hopefully there will be sightings of wildlife, possibly dolphins and seals, and most definitely a wonderful assortment of seabirds.

Extra Activities

Some of the Corbett Le Quesne team do Parkrun on a Saturday morning if you’d like to join them. As a point of interest, Jersey is one of the very few “J” destinations on the official Parkrun list. home | Jersey parkrun | Jersey parkrun
