CLQ announce theme of next conference

9th October 2025

We are excited to announce that the theme of our next conference is “Modern Families" and our key note speaker is Mrs Justice Theis DBE. 

Our next conference, which is taking place on the 13th of March at the Radisson Blu in Jersey, will include sessions in respect of parentage, assisted reproduction, surrogacy, adoption, LGBT families and recent changes in the law in Jersey and internationally.

Mrs Justice Theis has had an incredible career in family law with many significant roles to her name including Chair of the Family Law Bar Association, Family Division Liaison Judge in various regions, Chair of the Family Procedure Rules Committee and the Family Justice Council, Lead Judge in relation to applications under the HFEA 2008 and she was previously Head of Field Court Chambers. She was appointed as a High Court Judge in 2010.
