Advocate Nicholas Le Quesne, one of the founders of Corbett Le Quesne, has been appointed Chair of the Tiny Seeds charity. Having been on the Board for over a year he has accepted the role of Chair and is keen to continue supporting the growing charity.
Nick commented "I was honoured to be asked if I would take the role of Chair at Tiny Seeds. Chloe is one of the most dedicated and hard working ambassadors I know and she is doing a brilliant job and supporting so many islanders going through what can be life changing challenges. In the last year the charity has achieved so much and we all want to consolidate the hard work and continue raising awareness and supporting those looking to us for help."
Corbett Le Quesne is working with Tiny Seeds to become a Fertility Friendly workplace.
Nick added "Tiny Seeds and High Tide HR Consultancy, with the support of Jersey Electricity, have created a fantastic user friendly toolkit for employers to introduce changes that will hugely benefit employees working through fertility challenges. Employers may not realise the financial and emotional burden that IVF treatment puts on people but often the biggest stress after the money is the flexibility needed to go to appointments and to have treatment or to support a partner undergoing treatment. We already have flexible working hours here but it is important to specifically consider the needs of individuals. We do not want anyone to feel discriminated against because we haven't put the time and resources into providing a safe and inclusive environment for them. Chloe, founder of Tiny Seeds, has done an amazing job and the toolkit now accessible to local employers is excellent. We would highly recommend getting in touch with Tiny Seeds to find out how businesses can help their staff."
